Hello!
Like *most* of you reading this post, I am a yarn/fiber/supply hoarder. I am drowning in this stuff, and you can bet I'm dragging my sweet little family down with me. I mean, 4 of us live in about 1,000 square feet with 3 closets and no attic or basement. Literally Drowning.
I have to ask myself, WHY? Why do I have a giant basket of yarn taking up 3/4 of my closet-when there are only 3 closets??? Why am I hoarding commercial yarn when I MAKE yarn for a living? Why am I tucking fleeces in every corner when I know damn well I'm going to buy a whole crap ton more in a month?
Ummm....I don't know?
Well, it's got to stop. I don't want to live like this anymore. I want order.
Plus, I really like the feeling of light, fresh, empty. I don't know, I'm a junky for that. I recently just chopped off ALL of my hair. Long locks to no locks- shorn like a sheep my friends! Ahhhh feels so good, so simple.
One time, my husband and I sold off EVERYTHING we owned except what we could fit in our Oldsmobile Alero and moved to Montana. That was a little extreme though....
So anyway, I'm having an auction on my Facebook Page. Here are the details:
Who: Lovers of fiber art supplies, doll hair makers, crafters, yarn hoarders, and lovers of good deals.
What: Dyed locks, hand painted roving, Fibery Add Ins, felt bangles, various commercial yarns, hand dyed yarn, handspun yarn, and finished knits.
When: Auction will begin tomorrow, Friday April 19, 2013 at noon and end Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 3 pm.

I guess I'm a bad knitter and spinner. I really don't have that much personal stash anymore. I gave mine away a long time ago and now my stash fits in 4 totes. The stores stash is amazing though lol
ReplyDeleteThat's just where I want to be too. A personal stash just sits there and stares at me...making me feel guilty. There is so much awesome stuff coming everyday for my shop- why hoard?
