Hello!
It's been such a long time since I blogged last, I'm really not sure where to begin! Thankfully ringing in the New Year is always a great place to start....so instead of catching up, let's just take off running!
I intend on ringing in the New Year with a marathon of spinning. Since I won't be working at the restaurant like I normally would, and I'm almost 8 months pregnant so I won't be drinking like I normally would~ the next best thing (probably better really) would be to spin!
As you can see, I've already gotten started! My first round of spinning is hand painted BFL roving in some of my favorite colors. I'm spinning 4oz singles and than plying for to make a worsted weight yarn. I haven't figured out the yardage yet. There will be 5 skeins in this colorway.
So far I have plied 1 skein, have 2 singles on the bobbin, and 2 more braids left to spin!

I plan to ring in the New Year with a Fiber Arts Fest. I've neglected my spinning while finishing a bunch of knitting and weaving and my dear wheel is not happy.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! You may not be able to party but maybe that little baby of yours will give you a New Year's dance. I used to love it when my baby would kick and dance in my belly.
